A logo or diagram built from several separate shapes and text boxes tends to drift apart the moment you try to move or resize it.
Grouping fixes that permanently, treating the whole selection as a single object from then on.
Here's the trick:
Ctrl+G groups a selection so it resizes, moves and animates together as one.
How to use it
- Select every shape you want to combine — click the first, then Shift+click the rest.
- Press Ctrl+G, or right-click and choose Group.
- The whole selection now behaves as one object — move or resize it as a single unit.
- To edit one piece again later, double-click into the group, or press Ctrl+Shift+G to ungroup entirely.

One thing to watch for
Grouped objects animate together by default. If you need each piece to animate separately, apply the animation before grouping, or ungroup temporarily to set it up.
