A small, consistent social media kit — profile graphic, post template, and story template — built once and reused for months, instead of redesigned from scratch every time something needs posting.

What we’re building

Three matching pieces: a square profile/header graphic, a reusable Instagram post template, and a matching story template — all sharing the same colors, fonts, and feel.

Step 1: Set up the Brand Kit first, before designing anything

Add your exact colors (by hex code, if you have them) and fonts to your Brand Kit before starting a single design. Every design built afterward pulls from the same palette automatically, which is what makes three separate pieces actually look related.

Step 2: Design the post template first

Start with the square Instagram post — it’s the most-used format, and easiest to adapt into the others afterward. Use Position to align your logo, text, and any decorative elements cleanly rather than nudging them by eye.

Step 3: Turn it into the story format with Magic Switch

Once the post template feels right, use Magic Switch to resize it into the taller Story format instead of starting a second design from zero. Expect to nudge a few elements after the resize — it gets you 90% of the way there.

Step 4: Build the profile graphic to match

Reuse the same fonts and colors from the Brand Kit for a simple square profile or header image — by this point it should take a few minutes, since every color and font choice is already decided.

Step 5: Save all three as reusable templates

Duplicate each finished design and set the copy aside as your actual starting point going forward — the same idea as saving a design as a template. Next week’s post becomes swapping text and one photo, not rebuilding a layout.

The result

Three pieces that visually belong together, built once, with every future post taking minutes instead of starting from a blank canvas each time.
