Some emails aren't urgent, but they're not nothing either — a form you can't fill out until Friday, a reply that only makes sense once someone else responds first.
Leaving them sitting in the inbox just adds clutter. Deleting them means losing track. There's a third option.
Here's the trick:
Snooze removes an email from your inbox and brings it back automatically at a time you pick.
How to use it
- Hover over an email in your inbox list.
- Click the clock icon that appears on the right.
- Choose Later today, Tomorrow, This weekend, Next week, or pick a custom date and time.
- The email disappears from your inbox and reappears at the top when the time comes.
Where it helps most
Keeping your inbox down to things you can actually act on right now, without losing anything that just needs to wait.
One thing to watch for
Snoozed emails move to a separate Snoozed label in the left sidebar — it's easy to forget it exists, so it's worth glancing at occasionally in case something is waiting there longer than planned.
