Secrets & Easter eggs
- The Super Easter Egg. Arriving with the Season 6 update alongside a Halloween-themed event called The Haunting, this end-game quest is only reachable after finishing the Main Quest on every map — Directed Mode completions count too, so it's not locked to players who've only done things the hard way.
- A real tribute hidden in Kowakujō. The Japan-set map, whose name loosely translates to "Alluring Castle," is dedicated to Tom Kane, the voice actor behind Takeo Masaki across multiple Zombies games, who passed away in May 2026. Players can even notice small changes tied to the tribute — Takeo's katana visibly disappears from his model after Pack-a-Punch until a specific boss is defeated in the Main Quest.
- Paradox Junction is Nuketown's third life as a Zombies map. Treyarch confirmed it deliberately carries a similar density of side quests and secrets to Liberty Falls, the community-favorite launch map from Black Ops 6.
- Directed Mode isn't just an easy mode. Carried over from Black Ops 6, it walks players through a map's Main Quest step by step — useful for finally finishing an Easter egg solo, without needing a full coordinated squad.
- Some maps deliberately have no Super Easter Egg tie-in. Rex Infernus, for instance, ships with no Relics and isn't part of the Super Easter Egg chain at all — a rare case of a map built purely to be played, not solved.
